Root Canal Retreatment

One root canal treatment will address most patient cases and will last as long as other natural teeth. Some will occasionally need a second treatment. The overwhelming reason why your original root canal procedure may need to be retreated is because of persistent bacteria within the tooth. Cracked Tooth

Fractures or cracks in a tooth initiate as a direct result from forces placed on a tooth. This can be from normal eating or habits such as excessive grinding or clenching. There are many types of fractures - from superficial minor craze lines to deep cracks rendering the tooth non-salvageable.
